Drivers and teams in the Michelin Clio Cup Race Series and Road Series are to benefit from a fresh trackside parts service as of the next event on the calendar, rounds 10 and 11 at Oulton Park two weeks from now, with Renault specialist ALS Performance confirmed as a new category partner.

Cumbria-based ALS, which is run by rally driver Barrie Thomson, will provide an extensive range of parts and technical support at all Clio Cup Series events going forward, restoring the service the Race Series and Road Series previously enjoyed in 2013 and 2014.

“We’re delighted to have agreed a deal for ALS Performance to become our new parts supplier”, said Michelin Clio Cup Race Series and Road Series promoter Simon North, “Having the ability to provide an official supply of parts to our competitors trackside is of immense importance to the current and future success of both championships.

“This is a very important step and positive move for the Clio Cup Series, Renault championships in the UK have always been based upon excellent technical support and we can now offer that level of service once again in partnership with Barrie and his experienced team at ALS.”

As well as the trackside service offered at each of the Michelin Clio Cup Race Series and Road Series events, ALS is now the key point of contact for teams and drivers regarding official parts supply throughout the year.

“We’re very happy to be working with the Michelin Clio Cup Series as official parts supplier”, said Barrie Thomson, “ALS already deals in a lot of Renault parts so we have most items in stock and will be obtaining anything we don’t currently have for the Clios in time for Oulton. Everything anyone will need, apart from tyres, will be on the truck at all of the races.”

Oulton Park Island Circuit will host rounds 10 and 11 of the season, the penultimate event on the 2015 calendar, on Saturday, 15th August.

Along with headline sponsors Michelin and Protyre, the Clio Cup Series is additionally supported by Ferodo, Safety Devices and ALS.
