MOTORSPORTDAYS.LIVE LINKS UP WITH BEN TUCK RACING!

27th April 2018

At only 21, Ben Tuck’s racing career has already seen him compete in the Mazda MX-5 and Caterham Supersport championships, and has certainly caught the attention of watchful eyes; as he is now driving a BMW M4 GT4 in the 2018 British GT Championship for the Century Motorsport team.

What’s even more impressive is that this talented young driver only started racing during 2014 with Bedfordshire based AB Motorsport, where he successfully competed in 6 of the Mazda MX-5 races.

He then continued with AB Motorsport to complete his first full car-racing season in 2015 – We know what you’re thinking; that’s just 3 years ago and now he competes in the British GT! That’s because he stunned his competitors by finishing 3rd in the BRSCC Mazda MX-5 Championship with 14 top 5 finishes, 3 Wins, 6 podiums and 3 fastest laps as well as an international Class Win and fastest MX-5 lap at Spa. Not bad for an 18-year-old in his first full competitive season.

He was awarded the 2015 RSF MSA Young Driver of the Year and is a graduate of the MSA Academy as one of the UK’s top elite young drivers.

Ben then went on to compete in the 2016 Caterham Supersport Championship with PT Sports Cars where he finished 6th, with 6 top 5 finishes, 2 wins, 5 podiums, 2 fastest laps and a lap record.

Tuck started 2017 racing Caterham Supersport once again, taking 2 podiums and another Caterham Supersport lap record. However, things only got better for the driver from Sandy in Bedfordshire, after taking two debut wins in his move to GT and endurance racing, winning in a Ginetta G55 GT4 at Silverstone in July and the second on his Prototype Endurance debut in a Ginetta G57 at Spa-Francorchamps in October 2017, as well as competing in the Donington Park round of the British GT Championship in the GT3 class.

With all this achieved in such little time, 2018 sees Ben’s debut in the British GT Championship in the GT4 class securing a seat driving BMW’s M4 GT4 in BMW’s much-anticipated return to GT4 racing in the UK.

Unbelievably, Ben still finds time to work as a racing instructor as well as studying for a degree in Sports Psychology at Bournemouth University.

Having supported Ben from the start and we couldn’t ignore this achievement and therefore we are proud to announce a new partnership with Ben Tuck Racing. MotorsportDays.LIVE will continue to follow Ben’s success.

In partnership with Silverstone Circuit, MotorsportDays.LIVE is the event the industry has been waiting for – taking place over two days at the end of the 2018 racing season, MsD.LIVE celebrates all spectrums of this spectacular industry, with the overall objective to make ‘getting on track’ easier, enhance grids, driver sign up and overall preparation for the 2019 season.

MotorsportDays.LIVE offers the market a fresh, new opportunity for genuine track day enthusiasts, amateur and professional race drivers, championship co-ordinators, engineers, industry professionals and motorsport investors to all come together and experience Silverstone Circuit from the iconic WING facility 02nd-03rd November 2018, whereby they can source products from an array of diverse exhibitors, as well as find new race teams and championships while actually sampling cars ‘LIVE’ on the international track.

Across both days, MsD.LIVE will also provide a panelled conference, which will allow attendees the unique opportunity to gain expert advice and interact with some of the industry’s most established names as well as offering support across all areas of the sport, including assistance with technical setups, attracting sponsorship, marketing and media engagement plus legal guidance and much much more…

Ben Tuck is excited at the new opportunity.

“BWR Media’s MotorsportDays.com has been a facility we’ve used for many years when exploring my options for track and testing days.

It’s full of so much information and content, it has become a really useful tool for the team and me. They also produce the PRO-AM annual magazines, which are full of incredible articles and stories from all areas of the sport as well as showcasing all the end of season results in one place.

As soon as we heard about the LIVE event I knew how equally useful it will be for drivers like myself and the industry as a whole. It’s going to be a brilliant event!”

Ben Whibley, the man behind the Motorsportdays.LIVE event is just as excited.

“Ben Tuck is a hugely exciting driver. He personifies what we’re all about, having worked his way up the hard way, racing in club championships, just like many of our readers. He’s exactly the dedicated, exciting young talent that showcases our spectacular motorsport industry and we’re proud to be working with him.”

Ben’s next race is this weekend at Rockingham in Northamptonshire on 29th April 2018, and we wish him all the continued success – Good luck Ben Tuck!
