Team Black Falcon retain Christodoulou for Nürburgring 24

28th March 2017

MSD driver tutor Adam Christodoulou will once again drive for Mercedes-AMG Team Black Falcon for the 45th Nürburgring 24 Hours.

2017 is Christodoulou’s second year as an official driver for the Affalterbach-based Mercedes offshoot. The 28-year-old will pilot a Mercedes AMG GT3 alongside former team mates Maro Engel and Manuel Metzger and is joined by experienced Dutchman Yelmer Buurmann.

He said: “A few bits on the Nordschleife have changed due to the resurfacing work they’ve done there, so I’m looking forward to getting back to there after a long winter.

“[The Nordschleife] has become like a second home for me, so I’m excited to be back amongst it and hopefully show everybody that last year wasn’t a one off.”

“The VLN and the Nürburgring 24 hours is getting stronger and tougher every year, the manufacturers are getting behind it more and more as the event keeps growing. All the manufacturers are going to be fighting to take away our title from last year, so it’s getting harder and harder but I’m looking forward to the challenge.

“We just need to make sure that we have clean races up to the 24 Hours and prepare ourselves as best as we can.
