Novice track day drivers actually stand out a mile from experienced track drivers and especially those who have done some racing. That should not put you off – it’s actually a help as they can avoid you and give you space.
Quite frankly, it’s a bit daunting when you are driving about as fast as you think it is possible to go with your foot flat to the metal and someone breezes past as if you are parked! I remember my first time on track on two wheels and I had the bike cranked over – knee over the curb and thinking I must look like a god – when two bikes passed me on the inside!
