Trackday Trophy heads to Cadwell Park for 2017 season opener – Entries now open!

The Trackday Trophy season gets underway at Cadwell Park on Saturday 22 April. Located in the centre of the picturesque Lincolnshire Wolds, the circuit nicknamed “The Mini-Nurburgring” is a favourite amongst racers for its amazing elevation changes, fast flowing corners and a challenging woodland section, which combine to make the circuit one of the most exciting on any racing calendar!

Historically Trackday Trophy regulations have required at least one of the possible two drivers per team to be a novice (with less than six previous races). However, following a major shakeup last season this is no longer the case! While maintaining the friendly, novice inspired atmosphere of the Series, Trackday Trophy now provides the extra dynamic of allowing its mentors to join the grid and race against or alongside their protégé!
Featuring smaller grids compared to other circuits on the calendar, and always proving to be a popular round, Cadwell Park is a circuit you’ll need to book early to secure your spot! To join us on the grid, drivers and teams can register and book via the Trackday Trophy online entry system or by contacting Stuart Garland or Sam Fleet on 0843 453 3000.

About the Series:

Trackday Trophy is the official feeder series to the “UK Amateur Championship of the year” TDC, and runs a 30 minutes qualifying, 45 minute race format. The series offers those new or fairly new to racing the opportunity to develop their skills amongst like minded racers, while competing on the UK’s best circuits.

Trackday Trophy races are designed for teams of two drivers (although solo entries are also welcomed) so that the costs of running the car can be shared. Classes are determined on a power-to-weight ratio to ensure a level playing field.

The series is promoted and run by MSV Trackday, (MSV’s Internal Track Day department), who organise more than 200 track day events annually, with support from MotorSport Vision Racing (MSVR). Trackday Trophy has been successfully introducing participants into entry level enduro-racing since 2011.
